Mrs Arthur Elworthy (Tiinaru) is Staying at Warwick House. Misses Macdonald and Brice are amongst the guests at Warner’s. Mrs Crisp (Ashburton) is tho guest of Mrs Helene Cross, Cranmer Square. Mr and Mrs Hackctt (Adelaide) were passengers by this morning’s ferry boat. Miss Holmes (Wellington), who has boon visiting the south, arrived in town last night. Mr and Mrs A. IT. Fisher (Dunedin), Who have been staying in town, arc returning homo to-day. Miss Cassic WaiHg who has been on it tour of the Auckland ’istriet, returned to town yesterday. M? and .Mrs Cowpcr and Mrs Bates were passengers free the south yesterday, and arc, staying at Warner’s. Mesdamcs Whit ton and Woodward, who are the visiting delegates to the Victoria League Conference from Oaml>ru, arrived in town to-day. Bridge parties during the week have been given by Mrs R Whitson (Holly Road) and Airs Tosswill (Eanfurly Street) Mrs Chapman (West Coast), who is Bpending some weeks in town, is at present the guest of Airs Frank Heighten, Spreydon. ■ Air and Airs CJapporton, Aliss Ciapperton, Air P. Clapperton and Aliss S. Maclean, of Dunedin, arrived in town last night. They left for Akaroa tins morning. Airs Edwin Horton and Airs Sidney Thorne George, of Auckland, who have been staying at Aloiuit Cook, came into town last night, and are leaving for Wellington to-morrow The North Island delegates for the Victoria League Conference arrived in Christchurch this morning, and were wet by Airs Carey Hill and members of lier committee.
