BLOODSTOCK SALES. liy CaUe. — Press Association.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, March 7. At the yearling sales, bidding was brisk. The Sea Prince— Mcrinda colt made lop price, viz., 705 guineas. J. N. Falkiner secured a sister to Biplane for 475 guineas. H. Somcrs (New Zealand) paid 110 guineas for the Comedy King—Rattler colt. NEW ZEALAND TROTTING ASSOCIATION. The meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association was continued yesterday a iter noon. Several licenses as recommended by the committee were granted, that of K. S. Groat being granted subject to good behaviour. An application from John Sutherland was refused on the ground that he had supplied false information. Mr Sutherland appeared before the board and made a statement in reference to his application. After discussion it was decided to adopt the licensing committee's report. A letter was received from the Foibury Park Trotting Club concerning the reduction of the fine inflicted on W. K. Simes. The letter was received.

Correspondence was read from the Auckland Trotting Club and from C. P. Giescn in reference to the tatter's license. It was resolved that Mr Giescn should he allowed to appear at the next meeting of the board and state his case in regard to the points raised by him. The application for a refund made by J. Pugli in connection with a protest dismissed by the Nelson Trotting Club was declined.

Mr .1. O'Brien was appointed to act as advisory steward for the two trotting events at the Waimate Racing Club's Meet ing and Mr .1. E. Donald was deputed to act in a similar capacity at the Nelson Jockey Club's Meeting. Mr F. Johnston, oT Sydney, wrote in explanation of the delay in registering his horses Beckom and Karyrie. The explanation was accepted subject to the payment of £2 2/-. Mr S. Wootton, of Gisborne, wrote applying for the removal of the disqualification of his horse Pita Roa, incurred through being nominated before being registered. It was decided to inform Mr Wootton that his application would be considered when a reply was received from the club. Programmes as passed by the executive were approved.
