CONVERGE ON BUCHAREST. FIERCE ENEMY ATTACKS. /. and X.Z. Cable Association and Rcuter. (Received December 6, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON. December 5. A Russian communique states:— ■Rumanian attempts to check the enemy on the roads between Ploesti and Bucharest were unsuccessful. The Rumanians are retiring east from Titu toward Bucharest, and west and south of Saftitza, under incessant attacks by superior enemy forces. We captured another range of heights o nthe Moldavian frontier, but were compelled to retire from a heights on the Moldavian frontier, Wooded Carpathians.
