COLDSTREAM LODGE.
THE ESTATE SALE. A sale of property that created a good deal of interest was held today, by the Craddock, McCrostie Company, in their land sale rooms The property was the well-known homestead, "Coldstream Lodge," Fendalton, owned by Mr Ronald O. Duncan. There was a large attendance of the public, but it was evident that buyers were not plentiful, as bidding at times dragged. The beautiful homestead block of 15 acres 3 roods 11 perches was passed at auction at £-1350, bidding having commenced at £3500. Out of 12 properties only three were sold. The following are the prices bid:— Lot I—Homestead, 15a 3r 14p: Passed at £4350. Lot 2—2 a2r 36p: Passed at £lB3 per acre. Lot a—3a lr 38p: Sold to Mr A. Swanston, Fendalton, for £197 10/- per acre. Lot 4—2 a lr 8p: Passed at £lB5 per acre. Lot s—2a 2r lGp: Passed at £lB5 per acre. Lot G—3a lr 37p: Passed at 180 per acre. Lot 7—3 a 3r 31p: Passed at £IBO per acre. Ix>t B—2a lr 8p: No bid. Lot 9—la 2r lGp: Passed at £IBO per acre. Lot 10—la 24p: Passed at £IBO per acre. Lot 11—2r lGp: Sold to Mr A. L\ Lock, Fendalton, for £IOO for the section. Lot 12—lr 28p, and 4-roomed Bungalow: Sold to Mr A. F.. Lock for £4BO.
