KILLED IN ACTION. LANCE-CORPORAL L. HAYMAN. Lance-Corpl. L. Hayman, prcv' ionsly reported wounded, now re ported believed killed in action was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs H Hayman, Cam Road, Kaiapoi. He re

eeived his education at the local school. He served his apprenticeship as a joiner with Mr Berry, St. Asaph Street, Christchurch, later working at his trade in Auckland and Wellington. He was a capable violinist, and joined orchestras in each of the towns mentioned. He was a member of Court Woodford, A.0.F., Kaiapoi.
