THE COLOUR LINE.

TREATMENT OF MAORI SOLDIER HIS COMRADES* RESENTMENT. Press Association. NAPIER, November 23. At a general meeting of the local Returned Soldiers' Association, held to-night, the following resolution was unanimously carried:— "That this meeting strongly resents the action of the management of a local picture company, which refused a returned soldier —a Maori —admission to the dress circle of the theatre, ami that the members of this association respectfully warns the management that, while it recognises the right of the management to pick and choose its patrons, it determines to take drastic steps if necessary to prevent a similar insult being offered to returned Maori soldiers." It was further decided to forward a copy of this resolution to the head centre of the association, asking them to express their opinion and to take further action.
