ENEMY SHELLING OUR NEW POSITIONS. GROUND LOST IN WARLENCOTJRT REGION. High Commissioner's Cuhle. LONDON, November 17 (12.15 p.m.). A. British official report states: —As the result of yesterday's operations, we extended our front eastward from Beaucourt, along the north hank of the Ancre. During the night there was heavy hostile shelling of Beancourt and Beaumoiit-llamel. Yesterday afternoon, a strong enemy counter-attack forced the relinquishment of part of the ground won on Tuesday eastward of the Butte-de-Warlencourt.
