FURIOUS ATTACKS ON THE ITALIANS.
FIGHTING LASTS THROUGH DAY AND NIGHT ENEMY FAILS WITH HEAVY LOSSES. High Commissioner's Calle. LONDON,. November 17 (5.25 p.m.). An Italian official report states: —At San Marco, eastward of (iori/ia, during heavy figli.Vig yesterday, three determined enemy attacks under cover of darkness were made against the Two Pines House salient. They were repulsed. This morning, after intense artillery preparation, the enemy renewed his attacks, but only succeeded in taking a trench southeastward of the Two Pines. Elsewhere the enemy was driven off with heavy loss.
