ARMOUR AND CO.'S OPERATIONS. A BUSINESS PURCHASED. The old-established meat export business of A. L. Joseph and Co., which extends through New Zealand, but is chiefly located in the South Island, has been purchased by Armour and Co., Ltd., of Australasia, as a going concern. "By doing this," said Mr Kingdon, general manager of j the Armour firm, lo a Sun representative, "We avoid treading on other ! people's corns. If we had taken buyers from various other comI panics we might have caused some ill-feeling, but instead of that we jtake over an organisation, and a stall' thai already exists." j The business of A. L. Joseph and Co. has been taken over as from November I. Mr T. 11. Foster has been appointed secretary to the amalgamated concern. Complete arrangements for space | for purchases have been made by !Armour and Co., and the linn will operate as soon as the season opens properly.
