ANTI-SHOUTING.
THE CALEDONIAN HOTEL CHARGES. CASES ADJOURNED. The two charges against Charles Edwin Spedding, licensee of the Caledonian Hole], of alleged breaches of the war regulations on September 20 and 23, by doing an act amountingjo treating within the meaning of the War Regulations, 191G, by permitting another person to pay for liquor for consumption on the premises, again came before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day. Charles Williams was chargedwith consuming intoxicating liquor on the Caledonian Hotel premises, which had been paid tor by another person.
Mr Cassidy, representing both defendants, applied for an adjournment until Friday next.
No objection was raised to this course by the police and the cases were accordingly adjourned until that dav.
