RAKAIA SPRING SHOW.
A SUCCESSFUL AFFAIR
The Rakaia Horticultural Society held its Spring Show in the Town Hall on Thursday afternoon and evening. The day was also sate day, and so quite a large number visited Ihe show. The show of bulbs this year was an improvement on last spring, some really line narcissi being shown by Mr Stanley Smith, of Methvcn. There were some fine collections for exhibition only, cut blooms sent in by the Hon. C. A. C. Hardy, M.L.C., Mrs Holmes, and Mr F. Saunders. The last named showed some splendid primroses and polyanthus. An excellent piece of crewel work was shown by Mrs Broadbent. The secretary, Mr 11.
