ANOTHER ADVANCE ON THE STRUMA.
PART OF JENIKOI CAPTURED. COUNTER-ATTACKS REPULSED AND ENEMY PUNISHED. Australian and 11. Z. Cable Association. (Received October 5, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, October 4. The War Office at Salonica reports:—We advanced on Tuesday from our new positions at Karazadakoi and captured part of Jenikoi, southward of the Seres Road. Our artillery broke up a Bulgarian counter-attack. A heavy bombardment preceded the attack in the evening. Fighting continues. We inflicted severe casualties.
