Time Board Stewards.—Messrs G. F. Allan, P. Harvey, J. Gibbs, and 11. Richards. A meeting of the Sumner Committee was held last evening, when the Mayor (Mr J. B. Laurenson) presided. The secretary reported that the concert Riven by the Tramways Troupe in aid of the funds resulted in a profit of £7 5/6. A vote of thanks was passed to the troupe for their services. The Tramways Board wrote stating that it would give the same percentage of the takings on the Sumner line on demonstration day as was allowed on the seaside galas. A vote of thanks was passed to the Tramways Hoard. The treasurer reported the receipt of £5 8/1 as a result of a social given by the members of the Sumner Fire Brigade. It was decided to give u dinner to visiting firemen and officials on the night of the demonstration, and Messrs T. Wrenn, J. Carter, and It. Lindroos were appointed as Entertainment Committee. It was agreed to invite the men on leave from the Pyramus to be present. Superintendent Carter undertook to make arrangements for luncheon on the ground. A vote of thanks was passed to Messrs T. Armstrong and Co. for a supply of rosettes free of charge. The Mayor said that the demonstration was being held in aid of the Navy League Fund, and he trusted all residents would support it. Messrs <■. F. Allen, 11. J. Marriner, and E. A. Johnson were appointed a sub-commit-tee to draw up a toast list and arrange a musical programme for the dinner at night.
