A PEAK CAPTURED. ENEMY ABANDONS ARMS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. ROME, October 4. A communique says:— By climbing under (be enemy fire up precipitous gullies at the head of the Asmon and Brenta valleys, we captured the second peak of the Col Bricon. Anolber force in Carrua, by an outflanking movement, captured a peak 277G metres high, near Pizzocollina, but the enemy fieri and abandoned his arms and ammunition.
AN IMPORTANT GAIN.
THE TRENCHES CAPTURED. Australian and N.Z. Cable. Association. ROME, October 4. A semi-official statement says that the capture of the second summit of Hie Col Bricon is important, as an enemy trench had hitherto prevented any further advance towards the bottom of the Travignolo valley. The advance of the Italian troops caused the enemy to hastily abandon ten strongly-organised entrenchments, and retreat along the northern slopes, pursued by the fire of the Italian batteries. Many dead were found in the captured position. IN EPIRUS. THREE TOWNS OCCUPIED. Australian and A'.Z. C'aliie Association. ATHENS, October 4. The Italians have occupied Sanliguaranta, Dclvino, and Argyroeastro, in Greek Epirus.
