I The HenT.ee was a large steel ship of 2311 tons gross register, built in 1893 by Messrs Barclay, Curie, and Co., Ltd., at Clasgow, and owned l>y Messrs J. and .1. Mac and Co., of Liverpool. Tile Philadelphia is a twin screw liner of 10,786 tons gross register, built in 1889 by Messrs .7. and (i. Thomson at Glasgow, and owned by the International Mercantile Marine Co., of New York. She was at one time known as the City Of Paris.l
