BRITAIN'S TOLL OF FAILURE.
"LET US HOPE IT IS ENDED NOW." (Received January 4, 8 a.m.) LONDON, January 3. The "New York Tribune/' in expressing good wishes for the Allies for 1916. says:— ''The toll of British loss and the record of British failure steadily grew in 1915, owing to incompetent commanders, incompetent preparations, the follies of selfish politicians, and the mistakes of ignorant patriots. Let us hope these have been ended now."
