Mouci Bey; brother of Enver Bey, states that the Turks will attack the Suez Canal towards the end of January.

ATHENS, December 24.

Heavy guns, destined for the expedition against Egypt, continue to arrive in Constantinople. It is understood they will be mounted on sand dunes at a great distance, and used to destroy the works on the Suez Canal.

Reports via Geneva confirm the serious nature of Germany's preparations for an expedition to the Suez Canal. Much rolling stock and railway material are being assembled at Rustchuk for dispatch to Syria, where a Turkish army, under German officers and instructors and with heavy artillery, is massing.
