The Stock Exchange has been suspended for three days, owing to wild gambling fluctuations, organised by a ring rigging the market by spreading sensationalist rumours. BRISBANE WOOL SALES. (Received December 1, 10.10 a.m.) BRISBANE, December 1. At the new series of wool sales there was a fair selection, a considerable portion of the wool showing the effects of the drought. Competition was keener, and there was a 10 to 20 per cent, increase on the October sale rates. Greasy crossbreds realised 18£ d and greasy merino 18£ d. CHEAPER BREAD IN SYDNEY. (Received December 1, 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 1. The price of bread is to be reduced from 9d to Bid, as from Thursday. SOUTH AUSTRALIA'S RECORD CROP. ADELAIDE, December 1. The Government, Statistician anticipates, a* record wheat yield of 27,250,000 bushels, of which over 22,000,000 bushels will he. available for export. SUGAR SHORTAGE IN N.S.W.
