FARMERS' INCOME TAX.
THE TIME EXTENDED.
Press Association. WELLINGTON,*November 30. The Prime Minister stated to-day that farmers had been granted extension of time for the completion of forms in connection with the new income tax scheme. The Land and Income Tax Department had informed him that the return of forms had been extended from December 4to December 18. In the meantime, advice and information were being supplied to any land-owners who needed assistance in making the required returns.
CONFERENCE AT ASHBURTON. A conference with regard to frozen meat, wheat, and income tax returns has been arranged between representatives of the. executives of the North Canterbury and South Canterbury districts of the New Zealand Farmers' Union. The conference will take place in the Agricultural and PastoralUooms, Ashburton, at 11 a.m. on December 9. The president and vice-president of the A. and P. Association have also been invited to attend. The representatives of the North Canterbury district will be Messrs George Gardner (president), G. Sheat, Cullen, Evans, Foster, Leadley, and Lill, but it is hoped that every other member of the executive will be present. , V : .
