A ROLL UNVEILED.

LOYAL CITY OF NORWICH LODGE. The Loyal City of Norwich Lodge [adjourned last evening, after the [usual business had been transacted, for the purpose of the unveiling of a Roll of Honour. The lodge has a membership of 270, 11 of whom have already seen active service, and during the next few weeks four more will be added to the, number. Deputy-Provincial Grand Master W. G. Carson welcomed the visitors, of whom thserc was a fairly large attendance, and called on the Mayor (Bro. W Radcliffe) to perform the unveiling ceremony. Mr Ra,dcliffe said that he was glad to assist in doing honour to the braye lads who had gone to the front. He expressed his sympathy with the relatives tof those who had fallen or been wounded. He had already seen his two sons leave. The way the women had come forward was something to be proud of. The Empire was up against the toughest problem which it had ever tackled, but when hostilities ceased, he hoped that the Empire would be blessed with an everlasting peace. As Mayor of the Port he was pleased to unveil the roll, which was a credit to the Oddfellows of the Port. He hoped that when the war was over a complete Roll of Honour would be unveiled, which would contain the names of all the Lyltelton residents who had gone to the front.-

The roll was then unveiled. It is an excellent piece of workmanship, and is set up in a beautifully carved oak frame, the whole of which has been executed by the wife of Bro. E. W. Brown.

The following is the list of members' names inscribed:—Claude O. R„ Carrel], Francis Vv. Foster, Walter D. Lester, William E. Knowles (II M.S. Philomel, killed in action), Henry W. Ryder, Arthur Bach, Alfred Tester, Alfred J. F. Varriey, Ronald J. Voss, Leslie L. Derbidge, and Albert J. Tomson. The names of Reginald F. Back, William C. Ralph, Basil P. Toomey, and Ernest H. Lewin, will shortly be added. The members of the lodge sang the lodge hymn at the conclusion of the ceremony.

"Charley's Aunt" has been trans lated into Greek.
