LORD KITCHENER AT ANZAO. REGARDLESS OF DANGER, HE - INSPECTS THE POSITION. (Received, December 1, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 1. Captain Bean, cabling from Gaba Tepe, says:— Lord Kitchener had a great welcome at Anzac. Only a . few of the senior officers knew he was coming, but the men recognised him as he stepped ashore, and tliey tumbled out of their dug-outs, spontaneously cheering him again and again. Lord Kitchener went through the first line of trenches, and in plaees he was Only 20 yards away from the Turks. X -Tliere were anxious moments as he rounded certain corners, which were visible to the Turkish snipers. ** • He left again; after two hours, during which he had a thorough look at the position. /
