AUSTRIANS STRONGLY REINFORCED. ITALIANS SCORE IN FURIOUS HAND-TO-HAND FIGHTING. 1 (Received December 1, 8.30 a.m.) ROME, November 30. A .communique states: — > The enemy, strongly reinforced, attacked us to the northwest of Gorizia, and forced our trenches at some points, but he was ejected after furious hand-to-hand fighting." Overnight cable messages stated:—An Austrian communiqu6 says: "The Italians hurled assault after assault on the Gorizia bridgehead, notwithstanding heavy losses. All were repulsed." A semi-official dispatch says the suburbs of Gorizia are in flames. \
