A DEMAND REFUSED.
RUMANIA'S FIRM STAND. EVACUATION OF DANUBE POETS. LONDON, November 27. Reuter's Agency says that Germany and Austria, a few days ago, made a joint demand on Rumania to allow war vessels to proceed down, the Danube towards Galata, and the Black Sea. The demand was refused. It "is fairly certain that Germany and Austria desired to menace the Russian concentration at Reni from Galata. Rumania's decision prevents the enemy from reaching Galata. ATHENS, November 27. The authorities are evacuating all the Rumanian towns on the Danube, in view of the impending Russian attack' on Bulgaria. "NEVER BETTER." RUSSO-RUMANIAN RELATIONS. LONDON, November 27. The Bucharest corerspondent of the "Petit Journal" says the RussoRumanian negotiations are succeeding. M. Bratiano has officially announced that relations were never better. M. Take Jonescu says the Government has decided to follow the national policy. He believes Rumania will intervene on the side of the Allies.
