EDUCATION BOUNDARIES
WANGANUI BOARD DISSATISFIED. Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 26. The Wanganui Education Board has threatened to resign in consequence of the rearrangement of the boundaries of education districts by the National Council of Education, an important portion of " the Wanganui district having been transferred to Taranaki. The Minister of Education, who had a. communication on the subject from the chairman of the board (Mr F. Pirani), has sent the following telegram in reply: —"As you are aware, by the Act, the determination of the council is final and conclusive. Recognising, as I do, the valuable work done and the zeal displayed by yourself and other members of the Wanganui Education Board in the cause of education, I certainly hope the contemplated action will not take place."
