THE SECRET COMMITTEE.
HOLD MEETING TO-DAY. MR MASSEY CHAIRMAN. REVISED PENSION SCALE. [From our own Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, July 6. The first meeting of the Secret Defence Committee was held at noon to-day. Mr Massey was appointed chairman of the committee. Preliminary matters regarding the functions of the committee were discussed. One of the subjects which will be brought before it for consideration will be the revised scale of military pensions promised by the Minister of Defence. It is understood that the Government has a new scale prepared.
