Three children, named AVilliam Muril, Doris Muril, and Nettie Davidson, were playing together when a terrilic explosion was heard. It was discovered that the boy had both hands blown off, his neck broken, and wounds on his body. Nettie Davidson was critically injured iu one leg and in the abdomen, and the otfier c.hild was badly bruised. It appears that the boy, while playing on the banks of the river, found a live shell, which, when later on tampered with, exploded.
