Gold Soull and Pavlova did a mile on the grass in linin 44sec, the latter doing the best. Agatha Green got over two rounds of the steeplechase schooling fences, jumping all." Merrie Guy, over a round and a -half, jumped cleanly. Chakawana whs three lengths in front of Happiness at the end of four furlongs, run in 50 1 sec. Kilrain did one circuit at half pace. • Mummer and Rerehau were together for about a mile, the last seven furlongs occupying linin :?i!sec. Hawke's Bay horses are expected to reach Trcntham to-night, and the Southern contingent to-morrow.
