BOWLING.
SOUTH ISLAND TOUENAMENT. The South Inland tournament under the auspices of the Cliristcliurch Centre of the Dominion Bowling Association will start on Monday morning at 9.80 o'clock, when rink play will he commenced. The tournament will be played on the t'hristehurch, St. Albans, and Edgeware greens, three games being played each day. The Doubles will be continued on Wednesday aud Thursday at !).!!0 a.m. Forty rinks and 72 doubles will take part in the tournament. Most of the entries are from local players, as tiie Auckland tournament, at present in progress, and the various tournaments which have recently been carried out, make competition from outside centres less keen. The weather as it promises now will be all that could be desired, while most of the greens are in first-ela»s order. CENTRE'S COMPETITIONS, Is I NTH HOUND. Weather permitting, the Christehurch Centre's competitions will be continued tomorrow, the draw being:— Linwood v. St. Albans: 3 Red and 1 Blue, on Linwood, 2 White and 2 Blue on St. Albaus. Opawa v. I'apanui: 3 Ited on Opawa, 2 White on rapanui. Christehurch v. Edgeware: 3 Red and 1 Blue on Cliristcliurch, 2 White and 2 Blue on Edgeware. Kaiapoi v. United: 3 lied on United. Canterbury y. Rangiora: 3 Red on Rangiora, 2 white on Canterbury. Sydenham a bye..
