MELBOURNE, December 17, There is anxiety regarding the safety of the Federal trawler Endeavour, nine days overdue from Macquarie Islands, where she< landed men to relieve those left there by Mawson's expedition. According to Macquarie reports there was a heavy gale a couple of days after her departure. Arrangements have been made to dispatch a warship to search. Experts are hopeful that she has been delayed by a broken shaft or some other mishap. There are twenty-two people aboard, including Dr Danneyig, Director of Fisheries* Mr Power, wireless operator, Macquarie Island ; and Mr Harrison, biologist.
