ANNIVERSARY DAY.

THE DAY'S EVENTS. The following is a list of to-morrow's attractions: — New Brighton Trots, first day. . Akaroa Regatta. Marine excursion to Akaroa, 8.20 a.m. train to Lyttelton. Railway excursions to Timaru, 8.5 a.m., and Little River 8.40 a.m. Methven Caledonian sports, 8.5 a.m. train from Christchurch. Bowling tournament at Sunnyside. Christ's College cricket match, Past v. Present. Canterbury Pilgrims meet at Mr J. Anderson's house, 17 Armagh Street West. Veterans' picnic at Opawa. District v. City and Suburban representative cricket matches. Amateur dramatic performance at St. Michael's Hall, 8 p.m. Picture entertainments at the Colosseum, His Majesty's, Globe, and Sydenham Theatres. Oratorio, "The Last Judgment," at the Cathedral, 8 p.m. THE TRAMWAY SERVICE. To-morrow (Anniversary Day) the following tramway time-tables will bo in force: — Holiday time-table (quarter-hourly service) on Sumner, Woolston, Cashmere Hills, and Edgeware Road lines..; A half-hourly service will be run to and from New Brighton via Burwood and North Beach, leaving the Square at approximately 11 and 41 minutes past each hour from 9.11 a.m. to 7.41 p.m., and leaving New Brighton Pier, via Burwood, at approximately 28 and 58 minutes past each hour from 9.28 a.m. to 6.58 p.m. The ordinary timetable will be observed before and after these times. The ordinary time-table will be suspended between the above times, and all cars will run through to the beach. The twenty-minute service to New Brighton between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. will be cancelled, and cars will leave Square at 5.12, 5.42, and 6.12 p.m., and leave New Brighton at 5.44, 6.14, and 6.44 p.m. In connection with the trotting meeting at New Brighton, a special service of trams will be run from Cathedral Square at short intervals, commenting at 10.25 a.m.
