The aim of the Bible-in-Scliools League is to secure a referendum on the following ' OBJECTIVE: System of Religious Instruction in State Schools prevailing .in Australia: Lessons >ead in school hours by the children themselves, from Scripture books provided by the Education Department; iState School Teachers supervising thfi reading, but not giving sectarian 'or' dogmatic teaching. , * Visits during school hours by ministers or accredited teachers from the churches, instructing -children in the faith of their fathers. The question at 'this election is whether the people should be granted the right to express their opinion by means of a referendum on this matter.
