Fourth Grade.—Arnold, Malzard, Quinn (Linwood), P. O'Loughlin, E. Brosnahn, F. Hislip (East Christchurch), Pritchard, Hickenbottom, Young, Merriman, M'Ewen (Sydenham), Emergencies, Page, Buckhurst. (High School), V. Watts (Sydenham). The return match between the Christchurch Trainers and Jockeys and the team from the ferry steamer Wahine was played at Hagley Park yesterday afternoon and resulted in a win for the former by one run. Batting first, the racing men knocked up 108 runs (Mason 38, Cutts 23, Murray-Aynsley 22) against the bowling of Tough (four for 26), Humpherson (four for 53), and Gray (two for 12). Their opponents repiled with 107 (Plummer 32, Manu 18, Neil 13, Tough 11; HumX>lierson 10). Thomas (seven wickets for 45 runs) and Murray-Aynsley (three for 26) did the bowling. On the occasion of the first match the Wahine men got home by the narrow margin of three runs, so the third and deciding game should be keenly contested.
