At the half-yearly meeting of the' Mount Lyell Company, the chairman said the directors were disappointed that they were unable to declare a dividend, but they were fortunate in being able to continue operations, though they did not like accepting the low prices offering. Since the war started 3300 tons of copper had been sold at £52 6/- per ton, and they could sell now more than they had for sale.
