A SERIOUS SITUATION.
HOKITIKA'S POSITION. Press Association. HOKITIKA, November 19. Extremely heavy seas, combined with spring tides, are making further considerable inroads into the seashore northwards of Johnston's. Great slices of the bank have been washed away, and the sea is making a great sweep northwards, causing considerable damage to property. The position is most serious.
