The Women's Christian Temperance Union met on Wednesday, and transacted a considerable amount of business connected with the luncheon booth at the A. and P. Show. All arrangements are now well in hand. Miss Gordon was authorised to collect donations from the show booth. A donation ,of £5 was received from the Y.M.C.A. and C.E.M.S. It was resolved to thank both societies for their generous gift. It was also decided to thank Mr W. Sydney Sntyfh for his work," Women's Franchise Movement in New Zealand." The secretary was instructed >to write to the Inspector of Police regarding the better regulation of traffic at the show.
A letter was received from the Huntly Disaster Committee, asking for a donation, and it was decided that a collection be taken up at the next meeting of the union for this purpose.
