INTER-iSLAND TOURNAMENT. A WIN FOR THE SOUTH. Prea= Association. DUNEDIN, October 12. At the ladies' golf meeting to-day the inter-island niiie-a-side teams match was played, and resulted in a win for the South Island by 6 games to 2. Details:— Mrs Williams (Master ton) and Miss Wright (Timaru), all square. Miss L. Brandon (Wellington) beat Miss Wood (Christchurch) on the Inst.hole. Miss Harris (Hagley) beat Miss Bell (Wellington). Miss N. Brandon (Wellington) beat Miss Wilson (Christchurch). Miss Humphreys (Christchurch) beat Mrs Mac Lean (H&wera). Miss Cowlishaw (Christchurch) beat Miss Cotter (Auckland). Mrs McCarthy (St. Clair) beat Miss R. Gorrie (Auckland). Mrs Murphy (Otago) beat Miss N. Gorrie (Auckland). Miss Theomin (Otago) beat Miss Turton (Mirainar). All the games but the two first were won easily. NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE OPENING ROUNDS. Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 12.
