GOVERNMENT WEATHER FORECAST. The following forecast was issued by the Government Meteorologist, Wellington; at 9 a.m. to-day for the ensuing 24 hours:— AVesterly winds, strong to gale, and veering by west to south. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable, clouding, over and rain later, and the weather will probably become colder.' The barometer has a falling tendency, but- rising shortly.
