The concert given by members of the Canterbury Contingent of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force at the»Opera House on Saturday night, for the purpose of raising funds to pay for tho band instruments purchased by the Infantry Regiment, drew a large attendance, and proved thoroughly enjoyable. Among those present were: The Hon. J. Allen. (Minister of Defence), Colonel Chaffey (Officer Commanding the Canterbury Military District), and tho Mayor of Christchurch. Got to remove?
