the Riccarton Town Hall on Saturday night, the Mayor of. Riccarton (Mr J. T. Brown) presiding over a small attendance. The chairman and Messrs D. G. Sullivan and R. M. Spiers, and the Rev. T. Fee delivered addresses. During the evening songs were sung by Miss Dudney and Mr M. L. Flavell, ami a pianoforte selection was played bv Mr Weir. , Several acquisitions have been made \ to the Museum this, week as follows: , One blue, shag iu breeding from Sunnier; 2 SpoQubiJl- Cu\cksrl>reTj seated by tlie-At'fnrmatTsation Society; a . 41:gufTgss duck from the Auckland' Islands; a colour variety of the brown duck : from the Maheno peninsula, presented by Mr J. Coop; and a satin bower bird, ; a former resident of the gardens which , died a natural death. Two cases of ducks and gulls in the New Zealand room have also been cleaned up and may now be seen to advantage. MOTOR CYCLES. We have justj landed a shipment of : King Dick and Singer Motor Cycles, finished in dove grey, with several im- : provements.
