STRIKE PRISONERS.

PLEA FOR THEIR RELEASE. Tress Association. WELLINGTON, August 28. A deputation representing all £ . sections of Labour, and including several members of Parliament, urged the Hon. W. F. Massey to release the four remaining strike prisoners. Mr Massey said the question of liberation was always submitted to judges, and carefully considered by Cabinet, which took into full consideration the records of the offenders. He would bring the matter under the notice of Cabinet as early as possible. The Hon. A. L. Herdman, Minister of Justice, said that at present he did not consider the four remaining strike prisoners should be released.
