MISS BONNIE YOUNG.
A GIFTED PIANIST. Mr Lilly, who is giving a demonstration of local musical talent at the Choral Hall this night week, is not a lover of "prodigy," but is always interested in the discovery, and encouragement of exceptional talent, especially when it appears early in life. A firm suporter of our "native talent, he claims to have recognised in Miss Bonnie Young, aged Ki, artistic gifts of such an order that she may be confidently brought under the favourable notice of the public for further recognition and encouragement. Miss Young commenced studying under Mr ' Lilly two years ago, and lie is convinced that she is a born artist. Although she already possesses teelmupie which enables li-er to interpret works which tax the powers of more -mature players, MiLilly thinks that it is in her artistic powers, beauty of touch, natural modesty, and all those charms attendant upon true born artistry, that Miss Young will win her way to fame in future years. At the concert Miss Young will play ''Reverie" from "Moods and Fancies" (Strauss), "Nocturne in G Major" (Chopin), "To a Wild Eoso," from "Woodland Sketches" (McDowell), and "Yalse in A Minor" (Chopin).
