HAGERTY'S MATCHES OFF. J. Hagerty, professional light-weight boxing champion of New Zealand, has joined the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and therefore has abandoned, all matches which had been arranged for. hum Amongst these matches wa» one with Frank Ellis, the well-known exWellington feather-weight, which match was to have been held in Christehureh. CHRISTCHURciFsPORTS CLUB. . Only three members of the Committee of the Christchurch Sports Club now hold office. Following on- the*, resignations announced in THE SUN" a fejv days ago, comes that of Mr F. Graham, jun., who delayed his resignation in order that he might, as the dulyappointed auditor to the club, audit the books before they were handed over by the retiring secretary to the new secretary. The members of the committee now left are Messrs W. G. Atack, T. E. Robson, ami A. Dickson.
