The secretary (Mr G. Cowper) reported that he had informed the Southland Association that the North v. South Island game would be played, the date fixed being September 12. It was decided that the New Zealand Hockey Association's share of the net proceeds of the match should be devoted to the Patriotic Funds,.and it was further decided to suggest to the Wellington Association.and players that they should take similar action, and that the Wellington Association should approach the municipality for a remission of fees for the use of the Basin Reserve.
