A decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months, was granted to Florence Amelia Shaw, who sought a dissolution of her marriage with Frederick Henry Shaw, on the ground of desertion. Mr 8/6. Baymond, I£,C., with him Mr B. L. Lane, appeared for Mrs Shaw. The case was not defended. Petitioner stated that she was married to respondent in Christchurch on November 27, 1901. Her husband, then was a commercial traveller. Soon after ' the marriage he t started drinking to excess, and to be medically attended in consequence. In 1907 he went to-Tasmania, and thenee to Melbourne. Witness bad not seen him since he returned from Melbourne' in 1909.
