IN THE RING.

KAY BEATS SAYLOR AGAIN. Tor the second time Fred Kay, the tall Victorian light-weight, has beaten American Milburn Saylor on points. This second battle took place in the Sydney Stadium last Saturday evening. Kay's cleverness and speed enabled him to stand off the 1 rushing, smiting Saylor, and win well on points at the end of the 20 rounds. Kay was practically unmarked when the fight was over. ELLIS WINS AGAIN. Frank Ellis, the clever Wellington feather-weight, who has been fighting so well in Australia* has. won another fight, against George Taylor, of West Australia. The Sydney "Sun's '■' account of the meeting is as follows: — "From a spectacular point of view the contest was not in the main a particularly exciting one. At times, however, the lads rolled into each, other with spirit, and the crowd welcomed these onslaughts Avith cheers. From the opening round there was not much t doing beyond some skilful fencing and a lot of clinching. Ellis showed more aggressiveness in the third and fourth, treating Taylor to heavy punishment to the body, the West Australian coolly retaliating with straight lefts to the face. Ellis pursued the attack when the fifth was set going, and Taylor hooked, his left' to the jaw and prodded the face with a straight left. He landed a heavy swing'on to the New Zealander's face in the following session, also finding a good range in the eighth term. Soon afterwards Ellis received left and right swings to the jaw, and returned the medicine Avith interest before the ninth round' had closed. A lot of clinching had prevailed in every round, and Ellis, while in-lighting, walloped Taylor hard about the''body. In the fifteenth round the West Australian forced the righting, and'scored-a number of well-timed blows to the face before his oppouent could steady himself to reply. When Referee Wally Weekes pointed to Ellis as the winner the decision was well received. Weights were announced Ellis 9st, Taylor Bst DUlb."
