NORTON'S TROUBLES.

CUSTODY OF HIS CHILD.

AN OEDER DISOBEYED.

Mrs Norton was granted a writ of attachment against John Norton for disobeying an order of the Court to yield the custody of the child of the marriage.,

Applicant stated that respondent had refused to give up the child, saying that the girl was at present in Queensland. He had taken passages under assumed names for Europe, and had only taken the child away to torture deponent. The judge ordered the Sheriff to bring respondent before the Court. The officer reported that he had searched the house, "Truth" office, and other places, but was unable to find Norton. Norton subsequently appeared in Court and undertook to have the child returned from Brisbane to-morrow.
