Lady Stout has made a special study of the suffrage movement extending over many years, and is a recognised authority on social work. The writer of the leader displays an appalling ignorance of the women's suffrage question in Great Britain, but surely ignorance is. no excuse for the grave breach of courtesy of which he is guilty towards a distinguished visitor to. the city.—l am, etc., " ; !
