ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
DEATH OF AN EPILEPTIC. Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 26. In the case of David Darling, a single man, aged 45, who was found dead in his boarding-house, the evidence disclosed that deceased was a severe epileptic. The coroner found .that death was due to heart failure during a fit THE DISCARDED INFANT. In the case of a male infant found at the harbour works, Lake Logan, the medical evidence showed that the child had breathed, and its breathing had been subsequently obstructed either by criminal interference or accident. The corouer found the agency of death to be asphyxia, caused by criminal negligence at the time of birth by person or persons unknown. A CUT WRIST. While working on the roof of the premises of Messrs G. W. Drayton and Co., in Colombo Street, this morning, W. Gerard, aged 27, a carpenter in the employ of Messrs Packer and Jones, slipped, and in falling put his right arm through a skylight, sustaining a nasty gash in the wrist. He was removed to the hospital, where his injuries received attention.
