By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright. BRISBANE, June 20. JEngland defeated Queensland by 22 points to "Ef, after leading at half-time by 14 points to 6. The weather was fine and there was an attendance of 12,000.

The game throughout was fast and strenuous, and at times rough. England 's forwards proved too heavy, and beat their (opponents both in the thick and the open. The visiting backs, particularly "Wagstaffe and Moorehouse, were brilliant, but were frequently penalised for off-side play. The Queensland forwards played a hard game, ■while the backs, though lacking combination, put up a splendid defensive game.

For England Moorehouse scored two tries and Wagstaffe, Coldric, Hall and Rogers one each. Thomas converted one try and Longstaffe kicked a penalty, goal. For Queensland M. Bolewski kicked three penalty goals and 11. Bolewski ono.
