Later, two lieutenants in a biplane encircled the balloon several times, and attempted to fly over it, but accidentally grazed and rent the envelope. A violent explosion followed. The dirigible burst into'flames, and fell K'.OO feet, the occupants being burnt to death. The corpses of the lieutenants in the biplane were teVrifoiy^ilfu^httcd. EDDIES FROM 1 DIRIGIBLE.
